Coastline Academy
Pre-requisite:
30 oldest students on sign-up sheet enrolled. The academic standard for the student is a GPA of 2.0 or above and no F’s. Any student who earns an F grade or a GPA that falls below a 2.0 at the quarter/semester will be ineligible. This course is offered to students up to the age of 17 ½ years old. Sign up's will be announced and posted in front of the Counseling Office. This class is a zero period course beginning at 7:25a.m. to 8:25a.m. in room P2 with Mr. Marianno. Students are responsible for their own transportation to class.
This course is designed to develop a knowledge of the provisions of the Vehicle Code and other California laws relating to the operation of motor vehicles, a proper acceptance of personal responsibility in traffic, a true appreciation of the causes, seriousness and consequences of traffic accidents, and to develop the knowledge and attitudes necessary for the safe operation of motor vehicles. A course in automobile driver education shall include education in the safe operation of motorcycles. Certification of Completion expires after one year. This course is equivalent to a nine-week course and upon completion the student will earn 2.5 credits.
